Norwich Pride 2016

For the very first time this I attended Norwich Pride. In fact it was the very first time that I had attended any Pride event.

Norwich was easy to get to with regular and relatively cheap journeys from Peterborough. On arrival at Norwich I was pleased to see large crowds arriving. I must say I hadn’t realised that this was the combined effect of a Norwich City home friendly.

However, once further into the City it was easy to see that Pride was gathering its own large crowd.

Trust’s £2bn PFI Fiasco Could Wreck Our NHS!

Peterborough City Hospital

Hit squads of accountants from the NHS regulator Monitor are right now going through every aspect of the running of Peterborough City Hospital in search of cutbacks and cash savings.

The situation is desperate. The Trust ran out of money to pay bills in January, and needed a further hand-out of £50m to tide it over to the end of the financial year. Only repeated government handouts have managed to keep it afloat ever since the new hospital opened its doors. The costs of the £310 million building have plunged the Trust deep into debt.
